Hola!

The final episode of Dragonscage for the year 2007 threatened to undo itself as early birds waited moer than an hour for balls and friends to turn up. Bob, had something on and came later than usual, as is Ba.

But Ba’s appearance just after 10am brought cheers to the waiting crowd, who entertained themselves with Andi’s last night pastries and some really tasty fish crackers before Ba vanished and reappeared with our balls.

Almost, I repeat, almost being matched was the record for victories in-a-row (it went 6–in-a-row inclusive of the controversial first game), no thanks to Bob’s jinxed run in his adopted teams, which incidentally was ceremoniously ended by, you’ve guessed it, Bob the jinxed builder.

Attendance trickled for this last session of the year as a couple of regulars went missing but notably, a few new faces were seen.

With 1st Jan 2008 not too far off, and itself being a public holiday, the first Dragonscage session of 2008 is as certain as death and taxes. (And make sure you guys file your income tax returns aye~!)

So, with a mixture of sadness, and mostly joy, farewell 2007! Moshi Moshi 2008!!!

DC Gift Exchange Day

It was DC Gift Exchange Day on 25th December 2007. Officially it is now! (Funny, it seems to coincide with christmas somehow…)

Presents were brought, smiles were exchanged and plenty of satisfaction were brought home.

If anything, we'd realised that the Warriors shoes are a must have for Dragonscage! (In this case, the shoes definitely make the man!)

Check our some of the pics taken during our Xmas Holiday session.

Indeed there were sooo many attendees that we regret we couldn’t accomodate everyone, but thanks to all for coming and bringing the cheers~!

Xmas Potluck!

The young lions have strucked. Fast, furious, but certainly not furry, they almost ruled the cage today. However, pls note that in this friendly cage all hands are advised to be kept by your sides. No touchy touchy or pushy pushy please. It would’ve been lovely for them to break or match the victory-in-a-row record, but it was not to be.

And we’ve got to end our games by 2pm! From today onwards, the last game will begin at 1.30pm (tired or not) for the sake of other users. So please please please turn up early.

For those of you who enjoy receiving presents, here’s a bargain, turn up this Tuesday with a present and join DC-ers in our xmas potluck event! Not to be missed!

Of course, to receive a present you need to bring along yours. And wrap it. Anyone caught using newspaper to wrap their presents will be whacked with newspapers. Woah, no kidding!

And ensure that, for joy’s sake, a minimum item of $2 is brought (excluding wrapper’s price lah). There is no maximum, so if you’re feeling generous, then share the joy!

Oh, and don’t forget to bring along ur smiles too!

A Rainy Affair

It rained, stopped, rained, stopped rained and stopped, but we were undettered, unrelenting and understood that there was only 1 mission – score plenty of goals!

Indeed there were plenty on offer with goals ranging from brilliant solo runs and screamers to exquisite team efforts or plain dodgy keeping.

But there were no dodgy games today, as the rain kept on pouring, as if urging the hungry players in the cage to keep on playing, ignoring a few bad falls and injuries.

Fortunately no souls were injured, maybe tired legs, but no serious injuries were recorded as another succesful outing at the cage was recorded.

Next event coming up won’t be a kickabout session but instead a makan session as Bob will galvanise the spirits to an evening dinner at Sakura Buffet @ Clementi Woods!

I remember the last time I went, I ate for free, and I will probably be attempting a similar stunt at this next occasion.

Till then, Arsenal won’t win the English Premiereship.

Oh, and Happy 25th Birthday Jarinder Singh!

GoogleAds

Perhaps its good for you guys to know that through google ads, dragonscage is now $7.63 richer.

Gaaaaaahhh after all these months and only this amount to show for your loyalty?

Common fellas, you can do better than that.

And remember, this week/weekend save some money. Cos next weekend, there’s gonna be a christmas potluck event. ; )

Wait for more news!

2nd December 2007

Possibly the 5th last game for 2007, tomorrow’s DC  (dragonscage) session was marred by tension and animosity within the ranks. Everyone wants to win but lets have fun doing it.

Hence this message-cum-plea towards all players to keep a cool head during the game and enjoy the moment. Smile and laugh and spread the joy. Bring presents if you want to. Its a season of joy and happiness so please don’t take that away from Dragonscage.

N yes, remember to pass the ball. It is a team game after all. Individual brilliance are best kept in front of the goalposts – once in a while. Perhaps this is a chance to bring in the basic element of playing good football – pass the ball around, keep possesion and don’t haggle with the ball.

No doubt the quality of football at DC (Dragons Cage) have grown a lot but it has yet to mature – but we’re no proffessionals either. So lets get everyone in the game by passing more, and everyone will have a damn good time.

Oh, and Liverpool has scored 21 goals in the last 5 games now. In its History, only twice have liverpool had more points in the league at this stage during its 18 title winning season. Good signs for Liverpudlians indeed.
Arsenal may be leading but just watch out.
