Bring friends and balls.
Don’t Forget. This Sunday. Bring Chicks Friends. And Balls. This Sunday. See ya!
Bland Slam Sunday.
Man Utd @#!^@%!.
Okay, okay, they were brilliant indeed, shredding Liverpool to pieces when it mattered, but you can’t deny that they were aided by zealous refereeing from Steve Bennett, who tarnished the Reds’ mindset with some harsh decisions. Yeah, yeah Reds should’ve stayed professional, but against their bittermost-arch enemies, its difficult to keep emotions away.
Chelsea took home 3 vital points to set up an intriguing clash with Man Utd towards the end of the season, and not that Arsenal disintegrated or anything.
But honestly, not much else to talk about Grand Slam Sunday huh? Even Dragonscage was a little subdued by its high standards! Only 18 turned up!!! Dudes, where are you???
Manchester United VS Liverpool
Arch enemies Manchester United and Liverpool clash at the Theatre of Dreams, with the Red Devils seeking a fifth league victory on the bounce and the Merseysiders, a sixth.
United have 11 more points than Liverpool, and have forged a three-point cushion between themselves at the summit, and Arsenal courtesy of Wednesday's 2-0 home win over Bolton. With eight to play, they're now in pole position to win a 10th Premier League title.
It's crunch time for Liverpool, with the Merseyside derby home to Everton, following hot on the heels of this. Both clubs vying for that fourth Champions League qualifying berth. Then Liverpool face Arsenal in three successive matches in the league and the Champions League quarter-finals. Liverpool are looking for their 50th league victory over Manchester United in the 150th clash between the two; all but the first four were in the top-flight.
UEFA Champions 07/08
AS Roma v Manchester United Schalke 04 v Barcelona Arsenal v Liverpool Fenerbahce v Chelsea
Ohhhhhkay, predictions time! What are the odds? What are the luck? Doesn’t it smell familiar? People keep talking about how in the EPL, the top 4 spots are being dominated by, what else, the big Four. Then what about the UEFA Champions League?
Within the past few years, these teams look so familiar don’t they? Well except for Fenerbahce and Schalke 04 of course, but that’s only because these 2 teams dont really have any good looking players! Okay, maybe add Chelsea into the pool of teams without good looking players as well.
So what can we deduce here? Get good looking players in your team if you want to win! Why, that’s the very reason to answer your question of how to break Dragonscage’s record victories-in-a-row! Koff!
Koff, koff!
Record Breakers
It couldn’t be said that the record was broken without challenge. And it certainly warranted plenty of time wasting to prevent a 9–wins-in-a-row record! But 8 wins, controversial or not, was indeed the highlight of the day, made possible only as Bob kept a total of 9 clean sheets, before his team ran out of time! It can be said that there were 12 players on court, compared to previous’ records of 14 and 16 players, but who’s counting?
The afternoon rain poured angrily as the sun gave way to a thunderstorm, threatening to end our session pre-maturely, but like chasing ants away from sugar, we weren’t going to be easily put off. Seems like the wetter the ground, the better the fun gets!
About 18 players came down today, and a decent number nevertheless, although we’d really like to have more!
Till next week comes, Dragonscage wishes the record breakers, congratulations, good job and well deservedly done.
